It is important to make clear distingsion between color quad processors and B/W quad processors. Color quad processor, is to be used with, of course color surveillance cameras. And same logic applies to B/W quad processors. But what if you have mixed cameras, what quad processor should you use?
This is model specific question, because some of the color quad processors will work with B/W cameras, and some other may display video loss massage. CCTV switchers are somewhat limited in functionality, but do not suffer from this limitation, it does not matter what type of cameras you use with video switchers.
