2.1mm plug is most widely used and if measured should be 5.1mm outside diameter or slightly more than 3/16" (0.187).

Check the label on the back of your existing power supply and mach one of the following diagrams.
This power supply is center positive (fig.1 or fig.2), if you need center negative (fig.3 or fig.4) specify it during checkout in special instruction text box.

Figures 1 and 2 represent an output plug with inside positive polarity also known as center positive.

Figures 3 and 4 represent an output plug with inside negative polarity also known as center negative.
